I was born in the height of June 1992, halfway through Coronation Street as my mum never lets me forget. My earliest memories are entirely musical - bedazzled by Queen's inexorable Bohemian Rhapsody, waiting for David Bowie's Starman to make an appearance and wondering what was behind Shakin' Stevens' Green Door.

In my teens, I was bitten hard by the emo bug and a few intense years of incredible music endeared me to a scene much darker than any eyeliner I could find. To this day, I still have that massive hairstyle and zero regrets to boot.

In pursuit of academic interests, I graduated with an MA in History, writing a 90 page dissertation on Alice Cooper's historical significance. Studying rock and metal in an academic capacity was right up my alley and I still hope to study for a PhD someday.

During university, I joined music zine AlreadyHeard.com to channel my love for writing which I'd lost somewhere along the academic line. A mere six months later, the world's leading metal magazine Metal Hammer took me under their wing and the rest, as they say, is history. Having interviewed the likes of Def Leppard, Korn, Rob Zombie and Danny Worsnop, I've ticked a number of things off my bucket list already but there's still plenty remaining.

I'm now Reviews Editor at Rocksins.com and can be found reviewing and copy editing the site's extensive range of album reviews.

I'm tirelessly dedicated to writing and editing - whether it's album reviews, live reviews, interviews or opinion features.

Stringing sentences together seems to be my purpose and I wouldn't have it any other way.
